A hawk dies, seemingly of natural causes.
It isn't graphic or anything, just a little sad. The death does not happen on screen; it is shown alive at the beginning of the movie and then later flashes to the body after the death, many years later in the movie.
They show the dead bird placed in a grave-like spot after the scene where the mother is teaching her daughters about herbs in their garden, so look away at that time to avoid seeing it. They have a little ceremony for the bird that lasts maybe about a minute or two.

Before a child dies they have a very graphic seizure in their Mother’s arms. This is discussed in details afterward. This may be distressing for some viewers.

The closest you get is the pondering of suicide, what a quote of the famous “To be, or not to be…” line. See “Does someone attempt suicide?” for context.

No, but the birth of Judith is initially ruled as a stillbirth. We linger on the baby, still and colourless, until it eventually begins crying and waking up
